From wall heater to full comfort with Mitsubishi ductless mini-split system
We recently completed an upgrade to a Mitsubishi 4-zone ductless mini-split heat pump system in Milpitas, CA, replacing old wall heaters with modern wall-mounted units for total home comfort. The aging wall heaters could only warm the spots right in front of them, so moving to a single ductless system with four indoor units was a big step forward for the whole house.

Why this system fits the home
One system, four zones, and a huge step forward in comfort and efficiency. Instead of separate heaters scattered around the house, one outdoor heat pump now feeds four wall-mounted indoor units, and each zone can be set to its own temperature. Bedrooms can stay cooler at night while the living areas stay cozy, and no energy is wasted heating rooms nobody is using. And unlike the old wall heaters, this system cools in summer too, so the home is covered year-round.
How the installation went
Installed clean, tested thoroughly, and ready for every season. We removed the outdated wall heaters, mounted the new indoor units where they would do the most good in each room, ran tidy line sets back to the outdoor unit, and finished with full startup testing so everything was verified before we left. The result is quiet, even comfort in every room and a cleaner look on the walls where the old heaters used to sit.
Thinking about replacing outdated heating?
If your home still relies on old wall heaters, an upgrade like this is one of the most noticeable improvements you can make. Take a look at our ductless split system installation service to see how we approach these projects, then contact Nur HVAC for a free estimate.

“They are very professional and nice to explain to me what caused the problem. Also the fee they charged are very reasonable comparing to what I paid a couple of years ago. So I recommend Nur HVAC to pother people need the repair or service.”

“NUR HVAC just completed installation of a Mitsubishi heat pump system in my San Francisco home, replacing a 38-year-old Lennox gas furnace. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism shown during the process. In particular, I wanted to commend Artur and Vladimir, the NUR technicians who did the beautiful install. Both guys were extremely polite and respectful, for example, putting on shoe covers whenever they entered the house. Artur was also very fastidious in running the ancillary electrical feeds to my main service panel. What a neat job! Fedor, who came to do the initial assessment, was a great resource and answered all my questions regarding scheduling, warranty, maintenance, etc. He offered several options during the bidding process without any pressure to come to a quick decision or attempts at "upselling." In the end, their quote was very competitive, and fair given the quality of the work and the final product. Being a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, NUR was able to offer a 12-year warranty on parts and labor. The bottom line is NUR is a top-quality outfit and it was easy to see that they take great pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. NUR may be the best contractor I've ever used. Definitely, 5-Star!”

“Our job wasn't easy, but Fedor and Sergii absolutely crushed it! Other companies told us it couldn't be done or would be way too expensive. NUR HVAC took it on, finished in just seven days, and stuck to the agreed price--no surprise add-ons or "we found this..." nonsense. We installed a 3-ton and 2.5-ton Mitsubishi Smart Multi-Split Heat Pump system (MXZ-SM60NA). Our house has two zones, and we wanted to add air conditioning. Since our two furnaces were nearly 17 years old, we decided to go all-electric with a heat pump system. The craftsmanship was top-notch, communication was consistent, and the whole experience was fantastic. It wasn't cheap, but compared to other quotes, the price was mid-range--and totally worth it. We were approved for the $4,500 HEERA rebate, but that got shut down (thanks, federal government). We did apply for the $1,500 PCE rebate and are hoping for a federal tax credit next year. Fingers crossed!”

“We were looking to replace our 3 wall heaters (installed by the previous owner) with heat pump, and got three quotes from the three nearby HVAC services with the highest Yelp ratings: 1. Nur HVAC: Provided multiple options with both Mitsubishi and Daikin. The Mitsubishi option is more expensive. Provided some information regarding rebates & tax credits but not comprehensive. 2. IRBIS HVAC: Also multiple options but with Carrier. Slightly more expensive than Nur's Mitsubishi option. They provided very comprehensive information on all the available rebates & tax credits, which I appreciate a lot. 3. EM Energy & Air: Their quote is with Daikin, but is more expensive than Nur since they charge extra for removing existing wall heaters. They didn't provide any rebates & tax credits information. After doing some research on brands (Mitsubishi vs Daikin vs Carrier), it seems the internet believes Mitsubishi's system is the best among the three. Also given Nur's reasonable pricing, we decided to go with Nur's Mitsubishi mini-split option with 3 wall mount units. The installation was smooth; it took about 3.5 days. They were friendly, courteous, and paid attention to details, and always did a thorough clean-up at the end of the day. On the last day, Artur walked me through the system and we did the testing together. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them to others.”

“I appreciate Elijah, Fedor and Shalai for their good service on the HVAC work in my main house and ADU. They also worked long hours to finish ahead of time to accommodate me and my family’s vacation schedule. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs HVAC work. Thanks again.”
“Nur HVAC recently installed a mini-split system in our SF condo; one in the living room, and one each in the two bedrooms. They installed the heat pump outside on the balcony. I was impressed with their work ethic and the way they kept our space clean during the installation. They cleaned up at the end of each work day and were very respectful and thoughtful of our home, our dog, and us. They communicate clearly and quickly; I would highly recommend them to install an AC system.”
“We replaced our 25-year old single phase gas furnace with a Mitsubishi HVAC heat pump this summer. Now that we’ve used it for both cooling and heating, I’d like to give the team at Nur a five-star rating for their clean, smooth installation. Communication was great and they were thoughtful about system design so that we don’t have exterior conduits. We are so happy with the operation of the system for heating: it is quiet and so much more effective than our old furnace. We can highly recommend Nur.”
“Our old A/C unit went out (dramatically spewing coolant everywhere) in the middle of summer. We contacted Nur HVAC and got them to come take a look at the situation. They recommended replacing our old furnace with a new heat pump along with the new A/C unit. It took a few weeks for a permit, but then they scheduled the job promptly. It was very labor intensive...removing the old equipment, building a new platform with plywood, installing everything. It took 3 full days, but they did an excellent job and cleaned everything up completely when they were finished. The system looks and works so much better now. Workers were polite and respectful. Would definitely recommend.”
“Heat pump. Other than last year, when Nur installed a furnace for us in another zone of our home, this installation of a second unit-----a heat pump----was among the best home services ever provided. The people who come to our home were kind, competent, professional, and fairly priced. No Bay Area Premium Pricing. Extremely helpful advising which unit to select, and managing rebate process. Everything was transparent. Total high-quality work, would give 10 stars if I could.”
“NUR HVAC did an outstanding job replacing our furnace and installing a new heat pump. Their quote was clear, detailed, and more competitive than all the others we received—and their high ratings gave us confidence. The installation went exactly as other reviewers described: professional, efficient, and high-quality. They really know HVAC and electrical systems inside out. We’re so glad we found NUR HVAC for our home project. They are an A+++++ company!”
“Adlan from Nur HVAC did an incredible job replacing our several decades old Carrier furnace. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. He kept us fully informed about suggestions, retrofits, and any shortcomings he found in the surrounding installation environment, explaining how he would address each one to ensure the new unit met modern standards and would last. Despite the extra work that was suggested for our outdated basement setup, the original estimate was respected. Adlan worked solo for long days, taking the time to do everything the right way. His organization and cleanliness were exceptional, with walkways covered, tools neatly arranged, and debris cleaned immediately. Regina, who handled the estimate and scheduling, was prompt, clear, and helpful. We were thoroughly impressed with both the quality of the work and the communication, and we highly recommend Nur HVAC.”
“We had old gas furnace replaced with heat pump and condenser. David gave us a very competitive bid. Both Alexander and Constantine are great crews replaced our furnace in our crawl space. The workmanship is excellent. They are very knowledgeable. David really care for his clients, he even came late at night to teach us how to setup the control because we are old folks don’t know how to download with wifi for the control. Arthur is very friendly, he waited patiently for the city inspector. Everything goes smoothly for this project. We are very happy to have this company got do the job.”
