“Our 25+ years old gas furnace ran into issues and we could have just replaced the part and limped along for a while. We decided to do a like-for-like replacement...we got a quote (I won't mention the name of the vendor) and got a quote for a Bryant a/c/ gas furnace (lower than the Carrier a/c that we had) and the quote was pretty high ~ $25K and NO REBATES (this person did not even offer us the option of a heat pump). Our son suggested going to Yelp to get a project quote given we were spending so much money - from the 8 companies we talked to we zeroed in on Irbis and NUR and both companies were solid. Our main reason for going with NUR were the following : 1) With NUR we dealt directly with the Owner not a sales team : David - he is a no-nonsense, straight shooter who is extremely knowledgeable about all things HVAC. 2) Offered the right spec and quality of machine - He told us we should go with the Heat Pump (replace gas furnace) given we had solar and he offered us the complex split zoning for our single family house. Upgraded our carrier a/c to a Mitsubishi Heat Pump (see picture) 3) Reasonable Quote, High Quality work - He offered us an extremely reasonable quote for a high end heat pump, his technicians were top notch. Igor and Mikhail were brilliant - they spent a week at our place and were so polite, skilled and unobtrusive. They cleaned up after themselves every single day that they came in. 4) Helped me get the $3500 rebate from Peninsula Clean Energy 5) After install customer service is brilliant. I am doing this review after a month but these guys are beyond amazing when it comes to responsiveness to any questions or concerns. If I do any replacement of my HVAC and water heaters in the future - I will not look beyond NUR - they have my business for life”
“We used Nur HVAC to replace gas furnace with a heat pump inverter, replace the aging duct work and gas water heater with a heat pump water heater, all in the same contract. Our project manager, Arthur was on-time for the scoping appointment. He took time to understand our needs, investigated the attic, ducts and all the existing equipment, before making any recommendations. He designed the optimal system for our house to be cost effective, provide highest comfort and be energy efficient. He was not pushy and was upfront about the ballpark estimates and timeline. He also walked us thru the various rebates that are available for the replacements from local utilities. Arthur's quote was very competitive, in fact better than those quoted to us by Costco referred contractors. Nur's installation crew - Eldar, Bhakridin, were very professional and thorough. They didn't rush the job and left the job site clean and clutter free each day. They accommodated our requests for placing the electrical wires and conduits so they are not in the way. All the equipment both indoor and outdoor were cleanly laid out, secured and wiped down before hand off. Always smiling and respectful, one of the best installation crew we have had. As a white glove contractor they took care of all the permitting, inspection paperwork w/ the city, all the paper work for us to receive the rebates. They even completed the warranty registration with the manufacturers for all the equipment! We would highly recommend Arthur and Nur HVAC to anyone in the Bay Area needing heating and cooling solutions. We would definitely be going back to them ourselves when the need arises.”

“Working with David and NUR was a wonderful experience. I changed out my gas water heater to a heat pump and my gas furnace to a more efficient one. David was exceptionally patient while I took over 6 months to decide on a system and never rushed me or pushed me to spend more money. In fact, when I changed my mind to a much less expensive system AFTER I already signed a contract and he had submitted a permit application, he completely supported my decision and didn’t act at all annoyed. After the units were both installed, he presented me a bill that was actually less than what he initially quoted because of different hardware used and a rebate he was able to get. His honesty is so refreshing. The work was done efficiently and the workspace was always kept clean when they left for the day. I was impressed by their initial on-site inspection: the representative noticed that the new air handler would be wider than the existing one, which would require that our water heater be moved several inches for clearance. No other company noticed that. Overall, communication was excellent. They answered all questions and provided the city work permit application number so I could track approval process with the city. Work went smoothly and was finished in a few days, much sooner than what I had anticipated. Very good experience, would recommend to anyone.”
