Adlan showed up a little early and got to work after I explained that the condenser fan wasn't operating, but it appears to be getting power. He quickly diagnosed the problem being a slightly loose wire from the fuse box and a bad capacitor. We were up and running very quickly and Adlan explained every step of the way so I understood what the problem was and how it was resolved. Very polite fella, too.”

He was very careful to protect my floors, to make everything look great, and to show me how to use the system. Most importantly, he discovered an oddity in my return ducts, having to do with an addition we did years ago. This required him to have to come back to relocate the air filter. “Our old A/C unit went out (dramatically spewing coolant everywhere) in the middle of summer. We contacted Nur HVAC and got them to come take a look at the situation. They recommended replacing our old furnace with a new heat pump along with the new A/C unit. It took a few weeks for a permit, but then they scheduled the job promptly. It was very labor intensive...removing the old equipment, building a new platform with plywood, installing everything. It took 3 full days, but they did an excellent job and cleaned everything up completely when they were finished. The system looks and works so much better now. Workers were polite and respectful. Would definitely recommend.”

“Very competent, quickly diagnosed that the issue was a thermostat whose rechargeable battery was no longer holding a charge. Other companies were trying to have me replace the furnace (a much bigger expense). Our furnace is old and will need replacement sooner rather than later but the furnace wasn’t the issue. Glad that Islam from Nur HVAC was able to quickly identify the real issue. Great experience overall and I’d recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work.”

Nur called back quickly and got a technician out the next day. He was fast, friendly, and efficient and offered tips and explanations (which I really appreciate!), and demonstrated how to change the filters. He was able to repair the problem in 20 mins (trouble with the contactor is apparently a common problem so he had the parts on hand) and everything works perfectly! “I’m very happy with my new heating-cooling heat pump system, which ties in to my existing ducts, is energy efficient (using electricity rather than natural gas), and keeps my furnace as an alternate option. I called several companies asking for quotes on something else - a whole house fan - and NUR had the fastest and most professional response. Technician David came out and explained several options to me. He said we could try just an attic fan and that alone may cool my home enough. He gave me a quote for that, and also for a whole house fan, and a heat pump. He explained what each option would and would not do. I decided to go with the heat pump heating/cooling along with an attic fan. Even though it was the most expensive choice, I think as time goes on and our climate gets warmer, AC will become even more expensive and hard to get. INSTALLATION: The installers, Artur and Vlad, were polite and considerate as well as competent and hard working. The installation was complicated, including drilling and hammering throughout the crawl space running under the entire house, and completely taking apart and putting back together my furnace. After 2 days I had AC, and after 2 more days I had the attic fan, heating, and was ready for inspection. CUSTOMER SERVICE: After the job was completed and I had paid, I had a few questions, and David responded immediately and said to call anytime questions come up. So excellent customer service before, during, and after installation. RESULTS: I’m thrilled with this home improvement, which adds value as well as comfort. Very glad I chose NUR HVAC, and highly recommend them.”
