“My wife and I had been considering getting air conditioning in our house for many years but avoided it because we didn't want to install a centralized system. Recently we visited some friends of ours in LA who had installed split-type air conditioners in several rooms in their home. Split-type air conditioners provide either cool or warm air to individual rooms, each one of which can be controlled with its remote-control unit. We were impressed with how well those systems worked in our friends' house, sufficiently so that when we returned from that visit we decided to go with split-type air conditioners in our home. We hired NUR HVAC to do the installation of our split-type air conditioning systems. For those of you who want the bottom line, here it is. The split-type air conditioning units gently cool or warm the rooms where they are installed and are easy to use with remote-control devices. We love them. NUR HVAC did a fabulous job, and we could not be happier with how their work turned out. If you are considering having this type of air-conditioner installed in your home, we highly recommend NUR HVAC do the work. You cannot get a better crew to do the job PERIOD. For those of you who want more of the details about our installation, read on. When we first met with David - our NUR HVAC project manager - he described in detail the work that needed to be done and gave us a thoroughly detailed estimate so we knew exactly what was involved and the costs. He told us that we would have to have the main circuit breakers to the house upgraded to support twice the amperage they were rated to handle. David took care of all the electrical work for that part of the job and secured the necessary inspections. See the photo captioned "new main electrical panel". He also went the extra mile to inform us of $3500 in rebates for the project, which we applied for and obtained David's engineering associates Igor and Mikael planned and performed the air conditioning system installation. They installed Mitsubishi split-type air conditioning units in 6 locations in our house: dining room, living room, den, and 3 bedrooms. Each unit was placed in its respective room to provide maximum heat and cooling air distribution. The air and electrical conduits were placed inside the walls so that no conduits or wiring were seen inside the rooms or outside the house. Igor and Mikael'd installation of the air conditioning units was flawless and they look very nice in each room. See the pictures of these units in photos indoors. David is pictured standing below the unit in our living room. We are fortunate enough to own a home with an ample crawl space underneath the floor. Michael and Igor built an elegant ducting system to connect the air and electrical conduits from all the rooms to the air compressor/heat pump. The ducting system those two built under our house is beautiful to behold, and like the air conditioning units, work flawlessly. See the pictures I've enclosed of the ducting system in our crawl space. Igor and Mikael installed the air-compression pump system on our backyard patio. They placed the system between a sliding door leading to the patio and an orange bush on a portion of the patio that is not used about a foot from the house. Although the system is sort of tall with a small base, Mikael and Igor mounted the system securely and may I say so attractively that it looked like an extension of the patio. As with all the other parts of our air conditioning system, they did a masterful job. See the photo of the air compressor on our patio. All of the folks who were involved with our air-conditioning project - David, Igor, Mikael, and the San Mateo City inspector - were a pleasure to work with. But I would like to say a special thank you to Igor and Mikael with whom we talked every day during the project. Their workmanship was impeccable, but they were also able to do their jobs without disrupting our work-at-home style of living. Whenever we had questions, they were happy to take the time to explain to us what they were doing and how the installation was proceeding. When the project was finished, they walked us through how to use it and the maintenance required to keep the air conditioning units working properly, like changing the air filters. Again, I cannot understate how happy we are with our split-style air conditioning system and the work that David and his NUR HVAC staff did for us.”

“Nur HVAC replaced my old gas furnace and replaced it with a Mitsubishi heat pump. They also redid my ducts. David initially came to my house to give me a quote, he offered me a ductless option which no other HVAC companies suggested, and was clearly experienced in HVAC installation, and gave me the best quote for top of the line equipment. Other HVAC companies sent salespeople, but David was technical and addressed my concerns and questions with great detail. The team that installed my new heat pump went above and beyond - they fixed some loose wiring in the crawlspace and adjusted the gas and exhaust lines for my water heater to save space. The installation was well done, the wiring and new lines they ran were clean and organized, they ensured that all the ducts were sealed and the airflow was balanced to all my rooms. “NUR HVAC just completed installation of a Mitsubishi heat pump system in my San Francisco home, replacing a 38-year-old Lennox gas furnace. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism shown during the process. Both guys were extremely polite and respectful, for example, putting on shoe covers whenever they entered the house.
