Mitsubishi Ductless Heat Pump Installation in Palo Alto
This Palo Alto job was a straightforward but careful one: a single-zone Mitsubishi heat pump installation, wired from a 115V circuit, for a room that needed its own dedicated heating and cooling. We’d actually been out to this same property before for an A/C service call earlier in the year, so when the homeowner decided it was time to add a proper heat pump instead of patching an aging system, they called us back.

Setting up the outdoor unit
We mounted the Mitsubishi outdoor condenser on a level pad right outside the room it would be serving, keeping the refrigerant line run short and clean. A new disconnect box and electrical whip were installed alongside it, tied into a dedicated 115V circuit as the job called for. Everything outside was routed tight to the siding, out of the way of foot traffic, and the line hide was finished neatly so it doesn’t stand out against the house.
Bringing it inside
Once the outdoor half was set, we mounted the indoor wall unit, ran the line set through the wall, and connected everything up. After pressure testing and evacuating the line set, we charged the system and ran it through both heating and cooling to confirm it was holding steady. The indoor head sits high and out of the way, with clean airflow into the room and no ductwork needed — one of the advantages of a ductless setup like this.
The whole visit took about nine hours from start to finish, which is fairly typical for a single-zone system when you’re doing the wiring and line set from scratch. By the end the homeowner had a quiet, efficient unit that handles both heating and cooling for that room without relying on window units or space heaters.

I couldn't be happier with their service. Many companies aggressively push you to leave a review after a project, while others truly earn it. In the case of NUR, it's definitely the latter. They went above and beyond my expectations in terms of ensuring the system was working as efficiently as possible. Beyond that, I will say that he and his team were incredibly responsive throughout the project. He was typically available by phone or text, and if he didn't answer the phone, I would receive a return call usually within 20 minutes. Lastly, they quoted me a very fair price for a Mitsubishi unit that was a higher-end unit compared to what his competitors were quoting. In fact, the efficiency rating for the unit was high enough that it qualified for the added $2,000 federal tax credit, which the other units did not. Highly, highly recommend NUR.”

[After install] Kseniia and Chinaza from the office ensured that the HERS tester and city inspector, who are third parties not affiliated with Nur, could be scheduled around my busy life. The HERS tester showed up on time, and he finished the HERS test within 30 minutes and told me that everything looked great. After this, Nur set up the city inspection so the permit could be finaled. Artur arrived on inspection day, and he helped ensure that the inspection process would be completed smoothly. The city inspector commented on how well done the install was, and he only had effusive praise for how well done everything was: the ducting, the air handler, the outdoor unit, the condensate line, and even how clean the attic was. On top of all of this, I am saving money on my utility bill!”
