Mitsubishi SVZ-KP36NA air handler installation in San Mateo, CA
Nur HVAC installed a Mitsubishi SVZ-KP36NA air handler in San Mateo, CA, as the indoor component of a ducted comfort system. The SVZ-KP36NA is a multi-position air handler that pairs with a Mitsubishi outdoor unit to deliver both heating and cooling through the home’s ductwork.
With the new air handler in place, the homeowner gets even, year-round temperature control and quiet, efficient performance from a compact indoor unit. As the heart of a ducted system, the air handler moves conditioned air through the home, so a clean install pays off in both comfort and efficiency.

Why the Mitsubishi SVZ-KP36NA is a smart choice
- Year-round comfort: works with the outdoor unit to provide both cooling in summer and heating in winter through existing ducts.
- Energy-efficient performance: the air handler is engineered to keep the home comfortable while holding energy use down.
- Flexible installation: its multi-position design lets it fit a range of indoor spaces and duct layouts.
- Compact, clean design: the cabinet tucks neatly into closets, attics, or mechanical rooms without taking over the space.
How the installation went
This installation was carried out by our team with careful attention to duct connections, condensate handling, and electrical hookups so the system runs reliably. Details like these matter: a properly connected and sealed air handler moves air quietly and efficiently for years, while a rushed job can undercut even the best equipment.
An air handler like the SVZ-KP36NA suits homeowners who want quiet, efficient, ducted heating and cooling tied to a Mitsubishi system, whether they are upgrading an older setup or building out a new one. As always, Nur HVAC matched the equipment to the home and confirmed proper operation before completing the job. If you are considering a similar upgrade, see our HVAC installation service for how we approach every project.

“Nur HVAC recently installed a heat pump (so we could finally have cool air during the summer!) and a new furnace since we still prefer to heat with gas. I could not be more pleased. I obtained estimates from 3 companies, including Nur. One was the Costco installer. They were nice but very expensive and didn't have the greatest post-install reviews. Still, I considered them. Another company provided what seemed like a pitch for a time share, complete with an album showing their reviews. This lasted close to 20 minutes! Nice company but out of the ballpark on price (maybe the presentation was intended to make you forget the final price?) and the estimate ran multiple pages which made comparing options impossible. Then came Artur with Nur HVAC. He was prompt, provided an easy to read, no nonsense estimate comparing options and did not try to upsell me by actually recommending less expensive options. They also had the best price no matter what we went with. The team which did the install was efficient, prompt, did solid work and were extremely polite. The job was so well done that when the city inspector came by for the final sign off, he was impressed by the work and told me that he has never had a problem with Nur. He explained how others take short cuts and how he is able to spot the problems. He told me Nur HVAC was one of only a handful of companies that always passed inspection as the installs were safe and properly done. I could not praise Artur and his team more! You will not find a more polite, professional and hardworking company that provides such great value for the money.”
“Nur HVAC are great company for HVAC. David, Alexander, Constantine and Arthur are very helpful and they are all knowledgeable and experienced with HVAC. They are very competitive in price and they have quality HVAC and the workmanship is excellent. We are very happy with this company.”
“Needed to replace my old heater furnace before the winter season and requested quotes from several different contractors. NUR HVAC responded quickly and provided a very reasonable cost estimate compared to some of the others. A two man crew came out the next day and finished the install within a day. There was a minor issue when I initially tested the system, but David immediately came back over to troubleshoot and fix it, and it now works perfectly. Overall, I had a very positive experience with David and what really stood out was how much he cared about the quality of work. I'll be going with him for all future HVAC needs (maintenance, servicing, repairs, etc..) and would highly recommend NUR HVAC to others as well.”

“Very pleased with their heat pump installation. I got three quotes and theirs was just a little lower than the others, but I chose them because they explained everything very well. They did not try to upsell like the other companies, which I appreciated. Installation went quickly and everyone was very pleasant. Photo with Arthur and our heat pump. Update, year and a half later: everything is working well. They helped me apply for the rebate after it was installed. I asked if I should do maintenance and they showed me what kind of filter to get. David came by and checked everything over (2nd photo) and didn't even charge because nothing was needed beyond changing the filter.”
“It is no coincidence that Nur HVAC has such positive reviews. This team is just as good as all of the reviews say. We had them upgrade our old gas furnace and gas water heater to heat pump units and I can say hands down that this was the most positive home improvement / construction project we've done. Fedor coordinated our project and was consistently responsive and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we got the equipment I wanted. Vladimir and Arthur performed most of the install and it went super smoothly and the equipment works perfectly. They were always courteous and communicative. We had one issue related to very high water pressure from the street and even though this wasnt their fault, Nur HVAC prioritized helping us solve the problem over the holidays. I could not recommend this team more.”
“We had old gas furnace replaced with heat pump and condenser. David gave us a very competitive bid. Both Alexander and Constantine are great crews replaced our furnace in our crawl space. The workmanship is excellent. They are very knowledgeable. David really care for his clients, he even came late at night to teach us how to setup the control because we are old folks don’t know how to download with wifi for the control. Arthur is very friendly, he waited patiently for the city inspector. Everything goes smoothly for this project. We are very happy to have this company got do the job.”
“I am writing this review hoping that it would help others when selecting the company to trust new installation of a Heat Pump system. We started with a few quotes that included visits. NUR seemed to be the best of the three both in terms of knowledge and desire to please the client. Upon completion and using the system for a couple of months I can tell you that it was the right choice. NUR team even helped with guidance on insulation (which we were thin with) and most recently, power outage had tripped a fuse. Over time, we dealt with 5 team members led by Davit each extremely professional took time to answer any questions and make sure that we are satisfied before departing.”
“Nur HVAC replaced my old gas furnace and replaced it with a Mitsubishi heat pump. They also redid my ducts. David initially came to my house to give me a quote, he offered me a ductless option which no other HVAC companies suggested, and was clearly experienced in HVAC installation, and gave me the best quote for top of the line equipment. Other HVAC companies sent salespeople, but David was technical and addressed my concerns and questions with great detail. The team that installed my new heat pump went above and beyond - they fixed some loose wiring in the crawlspace and adjusted the gas and exhaust lines for my water heater to save space. The installation was well done, the wiring and new lines they ran were clean and organized, they ensured that all the ducts were sealed and the airflow was balanced to all my rooms. I'm very happy with my new hvac system and would highly recommend Nur HVAC!”
“I had a great experience working with Nur Hvac. They coordinated installation of heat pump with my general contractor and there were zero issues during the project. I am mighty impressed by the Elias and team.”
“We recently hired Nur HVAC, from a friend’s recommendation, to install a new heat pump and AC unit, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the entire process. The installation was done on time and with great attention to detail by Ildar and …”
“My evperience with Nur Hvac was a pleasant one. Fedor was very accommodating and cooperative! The crew was very efficient and clean. I am glad I chose this company!”
“I highly recommend Nur HVAC! They upgraded my old split furnace HVAC with a heat pump HVAC retrofit. Fedor and the installation team showed outstanding professionalism and craftsmanship in all phases of the project: * Detailed initial project scoping tailored to my home's needs * Fast, friendly communication from start to finish * Solved new complexities we encountered on site * Collaboratively discussed alternative solutions, never felt pushy * High work quality I would absolutely choose Nur again for future HVAC work.”
“David and his crew helped install a heat pump for our house. Before that, we only had a heating furnace and would dread the increasingly hot summers. The crew did a fantastic job installing the heat pump and working with us through the permit process with the city. Would definitely recommend them for any HVAC related work!”
