What our technician did on this installation
- New heat pump installation: the unit was installed in accordance with building standards.
- Refrigerant recovery and removal: freon was recovered from the existing AC, which was then dismantled and removed for recycling.
- New TXV valve: a new thermostatic expansion valve was installed.
- Line and coil check: the existing refrigerant line and coil were pressure-tested with nitrogen, and a new filter dryer was added to the line.
- Leak-tested connections: the new unit was soldered in and all connections were checked for leaks.
- Hybrid system wiring: the thermostat and furnace were rewired for hybrid operation, and the heat pump was tuned and charged with refrigerant as needed.
The result is an efficient hybrid system that pairs the new Bosch heat pump with the existing furnace for flexible heating and cooling. As with every project, Nur HVAC installed the equipment to manufacturer specifications and verified operation before completing the job.
