For this project we handled a complete Mitsubishi ductless mini split installation in San Francisco — a two-zone system designed to heat and cool three separate spaces from a single, efficient outdoor condenser. Ductless mini-split installation is one of the most flexible ways to add comfort to a San Francisco home, especially in older houses where there was never room for full ductwork.
What the project involved
A multi-zone Mitsubishi system pairs one outdoor inverter condenser with several indoor units, each with its own thermostat. That gave this San Francisco household independent control in two rooms — no more heating or cooling spaces nobody was using. Because the home needed proper power for the new equipment, we completed the full electrical work, including a dedicated circuit and clearly labeled breaker for the heat pump, as shown in the panel above. The job was permitted with the city, so everything was inspected and up to code.
Here’s what we took care of on this installation:
Installed a two-zone Mitsubishi ductless mini split system
Mounted the outdoor inverter condenser and two indoor units
Ran refrigerant linesets, control wiring, and condensate drains to each zone
Completed full electrical, including a dedicated, labeled circuit for the heat pump
Pulled a city permit and had the work inspected
Commissioned the system and verified heating and cooling in every zone
